The experiences of the NHL’s biggest stars at the Sochi Olympics will be documented on NBCSN.
“NHL Revealed: A Season Like No Other” begins Jan. 22 and runs to March 12, offering what the NHL called “an up-close” and “all-access” seven-part series.
The series will follow more than 24 of the league’s top players as they prepare for upcoming outdoor games and the Olympics beginning Feb. 12. Cameras will also follow select players to Sochi.
It’s unclear how much coverage there will be of Olympic hockey.
“The cameras will follow the stars during the February trip to compete in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics,” the NHL wrote in a press release.
“Two camera crews will follow select players to Sochi, including being embedded on board their flights to and from Russia,” the Hollywood Reporter wrote.
“The lives of NHL players will be shown through the ‘NHL Revealed’ series which will capture intriguing storylines that sports fans will enjoy,” said Steve Webb, NHLPA Divisional Player Representative, according to the press release. “The uniqueness in this seven-part-series is that not only will it feature the players’ experiences in regular season games, including five outdoor games, but fans will also get to see the exciting road to the Olympic Games in Sochi where many teammates will become competitors as they play for their home countries.”
The NHL listed some of the players expected to be on the show:
Sidney Crosby (Canada)
John Tavares (Canada)
Jonathan Toews (Canada)
