Snowboard cross is one of those events that leads to its fair share of crashes under normal circumstances, so imagine throwing reduced visibility thanks to fog in the mix. The latest news is that snowboard snow cross qualifying runs have been canceled, according to NBC’s Skyler Wilder:

Either way, it doesn’t sound like an ideal situation for snowboard cross. We’ll find out if the conditions improve on Monday.
As expected the U.S. took gold in both men’s and women’s basketball, with the men winning their third consecutive Olympic gold medal and the women running their streak to six straight. But there was a lot more to take in at the basketball venues, including Serbia’s men’s team winning their first Olympic basketball medal (as an independent nation), and Spain doing the same in the women’s bracket.
