It turns out the World Championships weren’t Mary Cain‘s last competition of the season.

Cain, 17, the youngest member of the U.S. track and field team at worlds ever, was tested again on Fox Sports 1’s “Crowd Goes Wild.”

Here’s how the game “School Runnings” worked:

“You’re going to run on this treadmill at its maximum speed of 12 miles an hour while we ask you some high-school level questions,” the show’s host said.

Cain, in Nike running gear, went head to head with a man from the show dressed in a helmet, knee and elbow pads and red, white and blue socks. They both had pony tails.

Both would run at the same speed on the treadmill, increasing as the questions went on, to see if he could keep up mentally and physically with Cain, who holds a bevy of age-group records in middle-distance races.

Cain is also a 4.0-grade point average student.

You can probably guess how it turned out, but there was a glitch. Cain’s treadmill stopped after about 40 seconds.
