Meryl Davis and Charlie White have been ice dancing together since 1997, but they’re not in sync on everything.

On “SportsDash,” the 2010 Olympic silver medalists were quizzed about how the other takes their coffee (video below).

White came close to hitting Davis’ order — a chai-tea latte with soy milk. He incorrectly guessed it was non-fat.

To White’s defense, his order was a bit easier for Davis to correctly guess — half coffee/half hot chocolate.

“She pays far more attention,” White joked.

The duo, a little over a week removed from winning Skate America, also talked about their goal for Sochi and their rivalry with Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, the Canadians who beat them for the Olympic title in 2010.

Davis said anything less than gold in Sochi will be a disappointment.

“We’ve come a long way since we won that silver medal,” White said. “We’re really excited to show the world how much we’ve improved.”

Earlier this week, Davis and White said they did not watch Virtue and Moir’s victory at Skate Canada. There, the Canadians scored seven fewer points than Davis and White had at Skate America.

They train at the same rink in the Detroit area.

“I think the two teams really drive one another forward,” Davis said. “We have different strengths. I think we learn from one another on an everyday basis. We’re pushing each other, and, we think, the sport forward.”

Davis and White are considered one of the most likely gold medalists across all sports in Sochi. They have won 13 straight Grand Prix events and are the reigning world champions.

The U.S. has never won an Olympic ice dancing gold medal.
