The Olympic torch relay is scheduled to blast off into space on Nov. 7.

A torch will board the Soyuz TMA-11M manned spaceship, and cosmonauts will lead a spacewalk with the torch (but not the flame, for safety reasons).

Live video and photographs are expected to document the event.

It will be the third Olympic torch in history to fly in space and the second to enter the orbiting complex, according to Space.com. It will be the first to go on a spacewalk.

Here’s what the spaceship looks like, via British Ski and Snowboard’s Jamie Fox and confirmed by Sochi Olympic Organizing Committee president Dmitry Chernyshenko.
