Tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, viewers will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at NBC Olympics’ coverage of the 2014 Sochi Games with Winter Gold presented by Chevrolet: NBC’s First Look at the Sochi Olympics Broadcast.
Hosted by NBC short track analyst and eight-time Olympic medalist Apolo Ohno, the prime-time special focuses on how the group has prepared for Sochi – a process that truly began just after the London Olympics had ended.

“Our efforts to bring Russia to life started as soon as the London torch was extinguished nearly two years ago, and it’s taken us all across Russia, thousands of miles of traveling from St. Petersburg to Siberia,” NBC Olympics features producer Matt Allen said in a statement.
“I can’t wait for our viewers to discover the Russia that we have.”
Expect to see stories about NBC Olympics’ research and production teams, the travels of the group’s features crew, and the technology used to broadcast the speed, sounds and visuals of the Olympics.
