U.S. skier Julia Mancuso already has three Olympic medals to her name, but she hopes to add to that haul as she approaches her fourth Olympics in Sochi. The 29-year-old discusses overcoming injuries in Vancouver, Lindsey Vonn’s absence and more in this interview with TODAY’s Matt Lauer.
Mancuso came in third at the women’s combined in 2002 at just 17. She won gold in the giant slalom in 2006 and then bounced back from injuries to grab two silver medals in Vancouver (women’s downhill and combined).
She’s listed as one of the top 10 contenders in women’s Super-G and could be a threat in speed events.
