When you’re launching off hills while rocketing down a snow-covered slope, there’s the never-ending risk of having a potential medal-winning run end in a crash.

The men’s downhill competitors at the Sochi Olympics have had several days of training on the Rosa Khutor alpine course in advance of their event early tomorrow morning.

And as you’ll see from this clip on NBCOlympics.com, those training sessions haven’t been entirely incident-free. (Not to mention this nasty crash from Rok Perko.)

That clip is part of a bigger section of videos that features more memorable incidents from the first few days of these Games, with snowboarding, luge, freestyle skiing and figure skating represented in the playlist.

It just goes to show that while it may be awesome to be an Olympian, it can also sometimes be painful, too.
