In addition to Russian president Vladimir Putin taking in the final day of team figure skating, the country’s prime minister also dropped in on an Olympic competition today – two of them, in fact.
Dmitry Medvedev visited Rosa Khutor today to catch the men’s downhill final, which was won by Austria’s Matthias Mayer.
While there, he donned a ski jumper’s helmet and also visited with International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach.
He also appeared at RusSki Gorki Jumping Center to see the men’s ski jumping normal hill final, won by Poland’s Kamil Stoch in dramatic fashion.
Judging from this photo below, he decided to capture some of the competition for posterity.
