Can Bode Miller win his sixth Olympic medal at Sochi? That question seemed more and more reasonable to ask as men’s downhill training came along, but now it’s time to go for the glory, as a medal’s on the line starting at 2 a.m. ET.
The 36-year-old U.S. skiing star didn’t deny that today is a special day, as the New York Daily News’ Nathaniel Vinton passes along.
The event is far from being merely about Miller, though, naturally. Despite his deference to Miller, Aksel Lund Svindal still comes in as one of the top contenders. One cannot ignore other high-level skiers, either; for example: Matthias Mayer clocked the quickest time in the second day of training.
Either way, it’s easy to get excited about one of Alpine skiing’s most popular events. Stream it here.
