It’ll be an uphill battle in the downhill portion of the women’s super-combined for U.S. skier Julia Mancuso. That part of the event begins at 2 a.m. ET:
Maria Hoefl-Riesch is the heavy favorite in the event, but Mancuso shouldn’t be counted out, at least for a medal. She won silver in the event back in 2010.
Other contenders to watch include Tina Maze, Marie Michele-Gagnon and Nicole Hosp.
