The U.S. hopes to carry on its unlikely success from Vancouver in the Nordic combined, which begins with the men’s normal hill trial jump at 3:25 a.m. ET.
The United States won four medals in 2010, the most of any nation. That’s impressive enough on its own, but when you consider that the country came in without any in Olympic history before that run, it’s stunning.
The competition begins at 4:25 am with the individual trial hill (WATCH HERE) then the individual 10km at 7:30 am (WATCH HERE.)
It might be tough to approach such results again, but there are some U.S. competitors to watch, including brothers Bryan and Taylor Fletcher.
The favorites include Germany’s Eric Frenzel, France’s Jason Lamy-Chappuis and a variety of Norwegian candidates.
