Before winning a silver medal in the inaugural Olympic men’s ski slopestyle competition, Team USA’s Gus Kenworthy was busy.
Kenworthy, a keen dog lover that almost qualified for Sochi in halfpipe as well as slopestyle, has been attempting to adopt and take home a group of five dogs – one mother and her four puppies – that have been living outside the media center in the Games’ Mountain Cluster.
According to USA Today, he’s already arranged for kennels and is trying to line up vaccinations for the strays. He also told the publication that he’s gotten offers to take them in.
“I’ve gotten a lot of messages from friends and family that would happily take them, including the mom,” said Kenworthy, who plans to keep one of the pups for himself.
And when you take a look at them, it’s easy to see why he and his family and friends want them.
Here’s hoping Kenworthy is successful in his efforts.
