WATCH LIVE: Canadian men’s hockey begins gold defense vs. Norway

The Canadian men’s hockey team begins its title defense with an easy one against Norway, though they probably won’t be quite as relaxed as Ryan Getzlaf is in this post’s main photo. Also on tap at noon ET is a match between women’s medal hopefuls Sweden and Russia:

Canadian goalie Carey Price gets the nod instead of Roberto Luongo, who won gold in 2010 and is slated to play against Austria on Friday.

Price isn’t expected to face much of a challenge against Norway. Consider this: Canada’s full roster is made up of NHL players while Norway boasts one: New York Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello.

On the women’s side, both Sweden and Russia are undefeated in Group B, so the winner will face Japan while the loser takes on Germany in the quarterfinals.
