Top U.S. women’s bobsled team crashes during practice


The top U.S. women’s bobsled team of Elana Meyers and Lauryn Williams (paired together for the first time for these Olympics) crashed during a training run on Friday at the Sochi Olympics.

Training was briefly halted after the crash, but the pair was evaluated and completed their second run as scheduled. Meyers and Williams (pictured) completed that run in 58.11 seconds, one of the fastest times.

Women’s bobsled begins their official competition on Tuesday.
