There are two hockey games at 7:30 a.m. ET and both involve Russia … but the stakes are wildly different from one event to the other.
MEN’S ICE HOCKEY – Qualification playoffs
Russia vs. Norway: 7:30 a.m. ET (NBCSN) – CLICK HERE TO WATCH LIVE
The odds of the Russian men’s ice hockey team falling to Norway are extremely low, yet the pressure is extremely high. So far, the Olympic tournament hasn’t gone exactly as planned; even Russian President Vladimir Putin won’t deny it.
Russia will go with Sergei Bobrovsky instead of Semyon Varlamov in net on Tuesday. One would assume that this means that Bobrovsky is their guy in net, but we shall see.
Either way, Russia is expected to advance and face Finland in what could be a fascinating quarterfinal game. They have to take care of Norway (zero wins so far), though.

With only fifth place on the line, this game is likely to slip even lower under the radar.
