Ask any NASCAR, IndyCar or Formula One fan about their favorite drivers, and they’ll tell you they’re a bit different from normal people to want to go as fast as they do on a speedway or a road course.
That same personality quirk is embedded in those Winter Olympians that choose to shred down the slopes at 90+ mph or zoom through a twisty ice track headfirst at just inches above the surface.
To them, speed is not scary. Speed is just part of what they do – a constant, chaotic companion in their quest for Olympic gold.
