The U.S. hasn’t been shut out of short track medals since 1998, which was the only time that happened since the sport sprouted up in 1992. J.R. Celski might have a shot for the U.S. considering his world record in the 500m, especially since some tough competitors are out of the mix.
Still, it’s been a tough Olympics for the U.S. in these disciplines, so we’ll see if they can rebound on Friday.
