Frenchman Jean-Claude Killy is leaving his post as a member of the International Olympic Committee, saying it’s time to move on at age 70.
Killy, a three-time 1968 Olympic Alpine skiing champion, told L’Equipe that he notified IOC president Thomas Bach of his resignation.
Killy had been an IOC member since 1995 and was the co-president of the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and IOC Coordination Commission chairman for the 2006 and 2014 Winter Games.
