Olympic 400m champions Sanya Richards-Ross and LaShawn Merritt lead the U.S. team for the first IAAF World Relays, May 24-25 in Nassau, Bahamas.
USA Track and Field named 55 athletes Tuesday for the event, which will air live on Universal Sports from 6:30-9 p.m. both nights.
The World Relays consist of 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 4x800m and 4x1500m races for men and women. The top U.S. competition in the sprints should be Jamaica, which has yet to announce its roster.

Absent from the list are 2012 Olympic 100m bronze medalist Justin Gatlin, 100m silver medalist Carmelita Jeter and 200m gold medalist Allyson Felix as well as the suspended Tyson Gay.
