Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman are rejoining the USA Gymnastics national team after they finish taking part in the final team camp of the year in Texas on Tuesday.
They are both expected to compete next year for the first time since they helped the U.S. to team gold at the London Olympics.
Douglas, the Olympic all-around champion, had hoped to return last summer and took part in two national team camps, including rooming with World all-around champion Simone Biles.
But that was before she changed coaches for a third time since the Olympics, leaving Liang Chow for a second time and moving to Ohio. She delayed her return but still appeared as a spectator at the P&G Championships in August.
Raisman, the Olympic floor exercise champion and balance beam bronze medalist, attended her first national team camp since the Olympics in October.
No U.S. woman has made back-to-back Olympic teams since Dominique Dawes and Amy Chow in 1996 and 2000.
