That leader is Austrian Anna Fenninger, who won silver in the giant slalom at the Sochi Olympics and bronze at the 2013 World Championships. Fenninger captured super-G gold at these World Championships last week.

Fenninger goes into the afternoon .81 ahead of countrywoman Michaela Kirchgasser and .9 ahead of Swede Jessica Lindell-Vikarby.

Don’t forget about Slovenian Tina Maze, the Olympic giant slalom champion aiming to win her fourth medal in as many races at the World Championships. She’s in fourth place, 1.1 seconds behind.

The World Championships continue with the men’s giant slalom, featuring Olympic and World champion Ted Ligety, on Friday.
