The U.S. is two wins from gold at the IPC World Sled Hockey Championship. The Americans’ first medal-round battle comes against Norway in the semifinals in Buffalo, N.Y., on Friday (8 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Live Extra; 10:30 p.m., NBCSN).

The U.S. crushed its first three opponents by a combined 20-1 in group play this week.

Norway is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Sochi 2014 Paralympics and went 2-1 in preliminary play in Buffalo, finishing second to Canada in its group.

If the U.S. wins, it will play defending World champion Canada in the final Sunday, live on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Canada defeated Russia 3-2 in an earlier semifinal Friday. The U.S. beat Russia 1-0 in the Sochi Paralympic final.
