The U.S. looks to rebound against winless Denmark at the World Hockey Championship, live on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra at 2 p.m. ET.

The Americans, with one Olympian on their roster (defenseman Justin Faulk), prevailed in their first three games in the Czech Republic-hosted event before falling to Belarus on Thursday.

They’re still in position to advance out of Group B and into the quarterfinals next Thursday, behind Belarus (10 points) and tied with Finland and Russia at nine points. The top four teams from each group after seven games advance. Slovakia is fifth in the group with seven points.

The U.S. has won three Worlds medals since 1962, all bronze.

Denmark has never made it past the World Championship quarterfinals nor appeared in an Olympic hockey tournament. It did, however, beat the U.S. in group play at the 2010 World Championship.
