Two-time Olympic medalist gymnast Jonathan Horton completed the “American Ninja Warrior” course at the Houston qualifier, advancing to the city finals in Monday night’s broadcast.
Former Towson University gymnast Kacy Catanzaro failed to complete the course, one year after becoming the first woman to finish an “American Ninja Warrior” city course.
Horton, 29 and attempting to make his third Olympic team in 2016, became the shortest man (5 feet, 1 inch) to scale the warped wall, which is about three times his height.
How did it compare to winning high bar silver at the Beijing 2008 Olympics?
“This is way scarier,” Horton said.
