Usain Bolt sat down with Lewis Johnson before his first meet in New York since 2008, the Adidas Grand Prix on Saturday.

The six-time Olympic champion reflected on that 2008 meet, also at Randalls Island, where he broke his first world record, clocking 9.72 in a 100m race on a wet track following a thunderstorm.

Bolt broke the mark again at the Beijing Olympics three months later, as part of a three-gold, three-world record performance at his second Olympics.

Bolt has said the Rio 2016 Olympics will be his final Games, as he plans to retire after the 2017 World Championships.

Bolt also discussed emerging rival Justin Gatlin, the 2004 Olympic 100m champion five years removed from a four-year doping ban who has been the world’s fastest man the last two years.
