Michael Phelps swam his final race at his longtime Baltimore pool, Meadowbrook Aquatic Center, winning a 100m freestyle at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club Mid-Summer Classic on Monday.

“This morning, this afternoon, we were just reminiscing about some of the old memories and some of the great times that we’ve had here, either me watching my sisters or me swimming myself,” Phelps told NBC’s WBAL-TV 11.

“Really, it’s the end of a Phelps legacy here,” Phelps’ mom, Debbie Phelps, told WBAL-TV 11.

Phelps is following coach Bob Bowman, who took a job coaching Arizona State, and is preparing to race at the U.S. Championships in San Antonio from Aug. 6-10.
