A former coach of two 2008 U.S. Olympic gymnasts faces four felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and three felony counts of child molestation after being arrested in Indianapolis early Monday morning, according to an online court record.

Marvin Sharp, who formerly coached Beijing Olympic silver medalists Bridget Sloan and Samantha Peszek, is scheduled for an initial hearing Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET.

The Indiana natives Sloan and Peszek haven’t trained under Sharp in more than three years.

Sloan retired from elite competition after missing the 2012 Olympic team and enrolled at the University of Florida in August 2012. Peszek began competing for UCLA in 2011.

USA Gymnastics said in a statement that it is cooperating with law enforcement’s investigation.

Here’s more from NBC’s affiliate in Indianapolis:

The investigation of Sharp started with a complaint from a student, a female gymnast at Sharp’s Gymnastics Academy in the 8000 block of Georgetown Road in Indianapolis. …

Sharp was led out of his northwest side house in handcuffs Sunday night.  Earlier in the evening, IMPD, Indiana State Police and federal agents removed evidence from the 48-year-old’s northwest side home.

Detectives took computers and other electronic devices to a special mobile lab, searching for what sources describe as child pornography.  Authorities also raided his gym, removing other pieces of potential evidence.
