NBC Sports’ coverage of the U.S. Figure Skating Championships starts with a preview show Sunday at 5 p.m. ET on NBC and NBC Sports Live Extra.
The preview show is hosted by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski, play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon and 2006 ice dance silver medalist Tanith White.
It will feature athlete profiles, event analysis and competition highlights for all four disciplines.
Lipinski, Gannon, and White will be joined by three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir, 1984 Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton and reporter Andrea Joyce on site at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., for competition coverage next week.
Favorites include Ashley Wagner and Gracie Gold, who combined to win the last four U.S. titles.
The men’s competition will include 2013 U.S. champion Max Aaron and Nathan Chen, the 16-year-old Junior Grand Prix Final champion.
Alexa Scimeca and Chris Knierim and Madison Chock and Evan Bates look to repeat as U.S. champions in pairs and ice dance, respectively.
The U.S. team for the World Championships in late March/early April in Boston will be named after the U.S. Championships.
