NBC Olympic figure skating analysts Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir were greeted at the World Championships in Boston on Thursday by … themselves.
Lipinski and Weir were made into an ice sculpture bust on display at the Boston bar Frost Ice Loft, which is maintained at a chilled 21 degrees.
The Frost Ice Loft bills itself as, “New England’s only permanent indoor bar designed and furnished entirely of ice.”
The Olympians unveiled the sculpture at an event on the second day of competition at the first Worlds in the U.S. since 2009.
NBC Sports coverage of Worlds continues Friday with the pairs short program and men’s free skate, beginning at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra.
