The first two days of action on the tennis courts did not lack for intrigue, with multiple upsets including Novak Djokovic and Venus Williams. On Monday there will be second round action in four tournaments, the men’s and women’s singles and men’s and women’s doubles tournaments.
Women’s top seed Serena Williams, who along with sister Venus was eliminated from the doubles tournament Sunday, will face France’s Alize Cornet in a second round match Monday evening on center court. Also in the women’s singles draw is American Madison Keys, who has France’s Kristina Mladenovic in a second round match Monday morning on Court 1.

The United States will be represented in two doubles matches Monday, with Brian Baker/Rajeev Ram and Steve Johnson/Jack Sock competing in men’s doubles and Coco Vandeweghe/Bethanie Mattek-Sands competing in women’s doubles.
Among the other players taking the court Monday are Argentina’s Juan Martin Del Potro, who eliminated Djokovic, France’s Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard, and Djokovic is still alive in the men’s doubles competition.
