WATCH LIVE: Boxing, tennis tournaments continue; sailing & shooting as well

Friday will be a busy day in multiple sports, including boxing and tennis. Boxing matches in four weight classes will be held, with light flyweight Nico Hernandez among the Americans in action. Hernandez is in the semifinal round, where he’ll fight Uzbekistan’s Hasanboy Dusmatov with a spot in the gold medal bout on the line. Carlos Balderas Jr. will look to advance to the semifinals of the lightweight division, and Mikaela Mayer has her opening bout in the women’s lightweight division.

As for tennis, Madison Keys and Steve Johnson are both alive in the women’s and men’s singles tournaments. Keys has a semifinal match against Germany’s Angelique Kerber, and Johnson takes on reigning Olympic gold medalist Andy Murray in a men’s quarterfinal. Venus Williams and Rajeev Ram will look to advance in mixed doubles, and Johnson will also play in the men’s doubles bronze medal match with partner Jack Sock. Spain’s Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez will take on Romania’s Florin Mergea and Horia Tecau in the men’s doubles gold medal match, and Nadal also has a men’s singles quarterfinal against Brazil’s Thomaz Bellucci to navigate.

There will also be competitions at the sailing, shooting and trampoline venues, with medals being awarded in the men’s 50 meter prone and women’s skeet shooting competitions and the women’s individual trampoline.
