The United States faces its next hurdle in pursuit of Olympic gold, and it’s a big one.
Goals from Sweden’s Stina Blackstenius and Team USA’s Alex Morgan have this one knotted at 1 after 90 minutes.
The Yanks face former coach Pia Sundhage in Sweden. If they win, it seems likely they’ll face mighty hosts Brazil. And if they manage a win there, it’ll be Canada, France, Germany or China.
So, yeah, no slouches. If the USWNT wants to grab its fifth gold, it’s going to come the hard way.
