The team of Katelin Snyder, Amanda Elmore, Elle Logan, Meghan Musnicki, Tessa Gobbo, Lauren Schmetterling, Amanda Polk, Kerry Simmonds and Emily Regan won by two-and-a-half seconds over Great Britain. Romania finished third.

Logan has three golds now, while Musnicki has two. All of the other rowers top the podium for the first time at an Olympics.
