With the team and individual all-around competitions completed, gymnastics moves into the individual apparatus finals Sunday with four events.

Americans Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian will all be in action, with Biles the favorite to take gold in the vault and Douglas and Kocian among the major contenders in the uneven bars. Also competing in the uneven bars is Russia’s Aliya Mustafina, who took bronze in the individual all-around behind Biles and Aly Raisman.

The U.S. will also be represented in the two men’s events, with Sam Mikulak and Jacob Dalton both in the floor exercise and Alex Naddour competing in the pommel horse. Mikulak and Dalton have their work cut out for them, because also competing in the floor exercise is Japan’s Kohei Uchimura. Uchimura, who has won the last six all-around world championships and already has gold medals in both the team and individual all-around competitions in Rio. Uchimura took silver in the floor exercise in London four years ago, and he’s a heavy favorite to take gold this time around.
