The United States men’s volleyball had to go to tiebreaks to medal in Rio, ultimately completing a major comeback to pick up bronze.

The Americans won 3-2 with a 15-13 fifth set on Sunday morning at the Olympics.

The medal is the second in six Olympics for the U.S., who won gold in 2008. The Americans medaled in three-straight Games between 1984-1992 (two gold, one silver).

The Russians were ready to go from the first hit, and rang up 25-23 and 25-21 wins in the first two sets.

Halfway through the match, Russia had double the amount of blocks compared the Americans.

Given the up-and-down nature of the tournament, perhaps it was fitting that Team USA rallied to take the third set 25-19 and built a fourth-set lead that lasted for the same final score.
