An Olympian turned a touchdown celebration into a track and field homage for the second time in a six-day span on Thursday night.
Marquise Goodwin burned former All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis for an 84-yard score in the Buffalo Bills-New York Jets game and then did an abbreviated long jump, complete with a hitch kick.
Goodwin, 25, finished 10th in the London Olympic long jump. Then he took nearly three years off from track and field to focus on football.
He returned to the long jump in 2015, and this year, Goodwin had the two best jumps in the world going into the U.S. Olympic Trials. Goodwin would finish seventh at the Trials after straining a hamstring in qualifying.
Last Saturday, Rio Olympic 110m hurdles fifth-place finisher Devon Allen paid respect to his track event after a 77-yard touchdown catch for the University of Oregon.Follow @nzaccardi
